Hello,

Newbie and not a fridge engineer so excuse attempts to explain problem!

Have C/Supra 850MT (2007) that runs perfectly but has a start issue; am in Zambia and nowhere near any specialists.

When initial start or been off for longer than 10 mins or so, takes alot of effort to get started - the nyoom, nyoom etc., thing for 30s or so for want of better explanation. Once start and run for a while, will start perfect if started again quickly afterwards but anything around 10 mins later and back to n/n again.

Have checked glow plugs and all fine and they are heating. Fuel pump is pumping diesel and returning via overflow. Soleniods opening and even if bypass relays and direct start still won't give 1 kick start.

Panel in cab shows no error messages.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what can try would be very grateful as very

Also, just wanted to say a general THANK YOU for this Forum; had truck with TKMD-II arrive with non start unit (and no manual), and thought had total dud till searched here and found how to reset via panel ...:) relief!!

Thanks,

Maya

sounds like a fuel issue, leaking back, i would change the fuel pump to see if the problem goes away. had a few issues with those pumps latley

As Moggy has said check your fuel supply, especially the pump, the check vale can fail internally.

But also have you checked that the centrfugal clutch on the engine flywheel is not seized and turning the compressor when the unit is starting?

The fuel pump is the filter cartridge.
Loosen it eight key three screws from the bottom of the casing and check the purity of the contribution or wash it.

i think you are on about a T/K pump this would be a carrier pump

clean out the fuel pump/all filters ,at the pump blow back fuel line from pump to fuel tank also if banjo style fittings are used at pump[electric]pump can block, good luck.
