Hello

Today I have found a 30XA 0902 with 1 system empty of gas.

Leak test reveals 5 of the 7 coils on this system have leaks inside the coils.

1 coil has 5 in a small area,

Can anyone advise of similar problems and what reasons ie manufacturing.

Regards
AWW

HI alan
DO YOU MEAN EVAPORATOR OR CONDESER COILS?
WE HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH THESE UNITS( AIR COOLED ) EXCPECIALLY IN AREAS THAT THERE IS A BIG DIFFRENCE IN TEMP DAY TO NIGHT .THE EXPANSION WAS TO GREAT FOR THESE COILES,AND THE CONDENSER WASNT SPLIT ,AS SHOULD .;)

I've repaired several leaks in condensers, especially in this case the machines are near a water treatment plant waste

Hi Serviceman

Condenser coils.

We have about 20 units under contract and a problem like this may be contagious. what do u think the reasons are?

expansion as i am in qatar and we can have some hi/lo temp variations

Hi Goshen/Serviceman

Have not got back to site as yet but now have a leak reported from a technician on another unit on same site.

What is construction of these condenser coils as more like a radiator than a conventional copper tubed condenser.

Are these tubes in 30xas' brass or aluminium?

Thanks for your replies Regards
AWW

the problem of these coils is that they are fully aluminum (microchannel) and fumes from the sewage plant will cause corrosion
