This seems to be a common problem after using a google search but nobody has come up with an answer

I'm an ac guy by trade so familiar with the principles

the problem is my 18mth old fridge freezer every so often starts clicking from the relay on the control pcb at the top of the fridge, this stops the lights working but fan and compressor still run. Switching it off at the plugs cures it sometimes for days or 10mins

Are there wiring diagrams available? What is the square block with 4 wires on top of the evaporator do?

Is it a dodgy pcb or something like the heater drawing too much current?

All I have found is a knackered compressor capacitor which i have changed

You need to ID the relay involved, available from companies like cpc and rss components, similar problems here might help

Had a read through and looks like somebody tried changing just the relay and it didn't seem to work, definately same problem as I'm getting though

Just for future reference

A new pcb is required to remedy this fault, Hotpoint supply a modified item

Hi,

I have come across this site due to googling the problem with my fridge freezer.

I have the exact problem as described by ICEmarc above.

Can somebody help my to order the correct PCB?

Is simple to fit?

Thanks in advance

It's either changing the pcb, fairly easy or id the relay and change it if you have soldering eqipment and skills.
