Hi all,
I am still in the processing of completing my CITB 2078 safe handling written paper but have trouble with the following questions. I find they are not worded the best too, any help would be much appreciated. Many Thanks.
Candidate’s Instructions
Given an evacuated refrigeration system which has been pressured and leak tested:
· Charge that system with a zeotropic blend, with minimum contamination and loss to atmosphere and minimum hazards to health and property.
· Check the system for leaks and take appropriate action if leakage is discovered.
List below the running conditions you have measured/calculated/observed to confirm the system is properly charged and running to optimum efficiency.
Given a refrigeration system:
· Recover the refrigerant from that system to a recovery cylinder, with minimum loss to atmosphere and minimum hazards to health and property.
· Prepare the cylinder for transportation, in compliance with regulations.
· Describe a suitable procedure for recovering refrigerant from
a) A serviceable plant
b) A plant which cannot be run
Q1. Working to relevant British Standards, what pressure should be achieved to pressure leak test a new or modified refrigeration system?
