fridge freezing up

Hi, I have a 2 year old candy CPC240FFK frost free fridge freezer, the fridge compartment has started freezing up and freezing contents. switched off for 24 hours and tried that, but still the same, was told it was probably the thermister so I have took it out to get part number off it, but now ive been told it could be something else causing the problem. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated..

hi jockason, this problñem is eather the stat that is not working or its the electric heater thats not working, please let the foram know how you go on ,

sir, first check fan motor in the freezer if its ok then check the heater, then there is a timer which make heater to on for deforst the ice.then check the thermostat also.

Now sorted, it was the thermistor. started with the cheapest part. and luckely that was the problem.

i think the defrost timer is not working good. checked it first, then checked the thermostat.
