With the immersion bulb thermostat it may be faulty due to broken electrical contacts or the sensing liquid in the bulb has leaked out.

Possible alternatives are to get a strap-on thermostat to fit to the outside of the tank
or
Use an electronic thermostat where you put the sensing probe into the immersion socket. You may need to add a relay/contactor between the control and the heaters to carry the electrical load.

Hi jebar,

You must be mistaken with your figures. You say this is a home hot water system? Is this just to supply hot water, or does it provide heating for the house? Because you say there are 3 x 5Kw immersion heaters in the tank... that is 62 amps! More than most household incoming supply lines. Please clarify and then maybe we can go on.
