I have posted before looking for a course to study whilst being in the Royal Navy.
I believe I have found the course but would like some advice before I shell out hard earnt cash on the course.

1). Is a BTEC advanced diploma in refrigeration, heating and air conditioning able to get me to the same level as an NVQ 2 in refrigeration if I do work experiance in my spare time?

2). Will it get me an equivilent job in the industry as an NVQ?

3). Will employers recognise this qualification?

This is my final step before taking the plunge so any help would be great.

Many thanks people!

The course I have looked at is on

icslearn.com just look for vocational courses then construction and engineering courses and it's in there.

If anyone is able to look at this and tell me if its the right course to take or not that would be helpful too.

Sorry to be a pain but I am totally stuck as to how to get into the business without going to college.

It's an ok course if you have level 2 city&guilds already. It will not make you a refrigeration engineer but will give you some good knowledge on design of a plant.

Hi Staglemon:)

best start with an NVQ 2.

You could work in a factory with your NVQ, learn about the factory refrigeration and take an NVQ Level 3.

Kind Regards Andy:)
