I'm looking for informations about existent solar powered supermarket refrigeration plants. Did anyboby have an experience in solar powered refrigeration plants?
METRO Group (Makro, real, metro) is currently developing this technology.
I think that opinions of our site moderators and VIP posters about this technology will be very interesting.

Conversion factors are in the range of 15-23% of incident power, that is 200 to 400W per square meter, depending on country and season.
It won't work unless you have almost unlimited expenditure capacity and exposed surface.
A medium supermarket would require at least 1000sqm (10'000 sq ft) of PV surface, which is basicly more than the surface of the supermarket itself.
And it will only work during sunny days.
