hi all

i was talking with the local AGas agent and he was telling me that they supply more R22 gas to the energy companies that look after nuclear power stations than the whole of the supermarket companies put the together, i was wondering how true this was and if any other member out there works on this and how easy would it be for them to change from R22 to another gas.

<100 compaies use 90% of the Uk market for R22.

Are you noticing there seems to be no concern about december 31st?

Hi Coolhibby.
I can only speak for the 2 sites I work on.

Historically they may have but not anymore.
AND MAY I ADD.
These sites are so nervous about adverse publicity.
They will never do anything un-toward!
Basically unlike many. If a particular site has not done anything about it's R22 Usage.
It's because the Refrigeration company they use is Crap.
You can criticise many areas of our industry and clientèle.
But not Magnox or British Energy.
Most people have not switched yet because even the big refrigeration Companies.
Don't yet know which way to jump!

Sorry to sound so harsh. But the nuclear guys that I work for are extremely professional.
And their sites are some of the safest and "politically correct" sites that I have ever worked on!
R22 wind turbines is what we want!

Sorry shouting so hard there is an echo!
