Hi boys and girls

- I'm developing a system using a Daikin a/c compressor model number 1YC23NXD - this compressor has a switched DC Reluctance motor running it - has anyone got info on how to build or purchase the driver required for this type of motor (can't use the orginal drive from Daikin as i'm running different temp/pressure ranges) - thanks for your help in advance - Regards NYMAGEE

Why does different temp/pres ranges mean you can't use the drive that was supplied? If you are overloading the original drive you will also overload the motor if you fit a higher output drive.

I only know that reluctance motors are very complex to drive especially at low speeds. It would be outside the abilities of most people who have little experiance in this work. I would certainly approach the motor manufacturers for advice and maybe a product off the shelf.
