had a chat the other day regarding a heatcraft rack with oil failures due to liquid return,when the suction manifold was con structed the suction lines are fitted flush to the bottom of it.lol.another packaged heatcraft stuff up im afraid :mad: and i wont even go into oil return from there seperators

If it was a Heatcraft rack built with Copeland comps and fitted with Traxoil oil control, check the Traxoils fitted are the correct calibtration.

Some of the Copeland comps now are desgned to run with less than 1/4 sight glass of oil and require a specially calibrated traxoil. Having the std Trax fitted results in an over-filled compressor sump and on compressor start-up, the comp pumps out a heap of oil and unless you are using a temprite demountable oil sep or Bitzer centrif oil sep, the oil will cary over into the system.
