Hi guys!

I have a Bitzer 4P2Y that have too high oil pressure??? Various between 9-12 bar. Refrigerant R404a.
Does anyone have a clue wat can cause this? Our Bitzer dealer had never heard about this before.

We have checked the oil sep (its new), just recently changed oil and oil filter.

I think gas fom HP side is leaking in to OP side???

Any ideas?

I think the pressure limiting valve is clogged. It normally is installed just behind the oil pump. Maybe some dirt is limiting the oil venting.

Hi do a pump down test just to make sure it not leaking back. and if it fails its the valve plates , because it does,nt have a internal pressure relief valve.if ok then you have to take off the sump plate and check the oil pressure relief valve to see if its not clogged with debri behind the spring, the oil prv is located in the crankcase on a T piece, it just looks like a piece of pipe,If failing that then its the crankshaft it self partially blocked

is that pump pressure or pressure above suction pressure

I agree with GHAZ.
also check oil is it right for R404a or no. also do not let run system until you find why it is high.

I have come across such a problem of high oil pressure . In this case crank-shaft was blocked by a debris in its passage . Take it out and blow nitrogen pressure in the reverse direction .

Hi
Its pump pressure. Suction pressure is -35 C. We had the compressor at our workshop, dismantled it an blew nitrogen trough the crankshaft, checked the prv. But it was still the same.
Could be that its just partially blocked, and we did not get it out. The oil type is correct for R404a.
Maybe i will try it one more time before i order i new one

Thanks guys....

i think its most likly to be a crack in the valve plate or burst gasket on the head. close your suction valve in and see if it pumps down

yes it might blocked during start time.
chek oil filter and suction strainer, see are those clean these show you your system is clean or not. Also check oil gage
