Hi guys
We have a problem with a Whirlpool stand up fridge freezer which we'd be very grateful for help with. Its a model which dispenses water and ice too.
A while ago the fridge started making a banging noise when (presumably) it was pumping in water. The noise is intermittent rather than constant. It also makes the noise when the water dispenser is being used (although not always). When its making the noise water comes out of the dispenser in bursts. Bizarrely, if you open the fridge door when dispensing water the banging stops and water flow returns to normal.
The problem has developed further now in that the ice dispsenser no longer produces ice.
Does anyone have any ideas of anything we can try? I'm not a refrigeration engineer, so any advice in layman's terms would be great!!
Thanks guys.
