Hello,

When I have the A/C On, I hear a whining noise when accelerating or above 2000 rpm. The noise sounds much like a supercharger. Is this normal or is there a problem?

Thanks.

What type of your compressor and how big your system is?
And when does the noise occure? Also is it internal noise or vibration noise?. It's better if you compare your system with another one identical to yours .

It's a denso wobble plate compressor. The noise occurs whenever the air con compressor is on. It doesn't sound like a vibration noise but it's coming from the air con compressor.

If the noise is unusuall and the oil level is in the permitted levels and the compressor it is the part which is creating the noise then a mechanical part failur. Check the pressure reading ,compressor amps. Compressor's temp. If every thing is normal and the noise is bellow 85 dp leave every thing as it is. And be ready for the worst.
