I have a single screw compressor in the south of england running at 240Hz.... It is inverter drive. How can I run this machine at 240hz continously for a week with no damage?

Its an eight pole motor so the motor only spins at 3600rpm.:D

I just had a Frick screw compressor wreck after the motor contactors stuck on. The suction valve closed ( no more cold ammonia vapors) and the condensor fans turned off ( no liquid for oil cooler) The oil temp went up to 460 deg. F! It was still running when tech. got there in the morning, but as soon as he pulled the breaker it seized up. I think you need to keep vapors going thru compressor, cool oil, overheat protection etc. In short keep the whole system operating. It should runn forever.

What have you been smoking ?, 8 pole motors at 3600 rpm, and 240 hertz.
Something will blow soon.
But then again I am open to new tech., stuff.

if this is a mono screw? I would keep the loaded about 50% so that you keep the discharge pressure up to move the oil. if it has an oil pump i would lower it to 20% it should be fine. now as far as the motor does it have a cooling fan? if it does it should be fine. if it doesnt I would be worried about over heating the motor. 240hz thats quite abit 3x load pass for 60hz motors interesting! what kind of refrierant are you using?

Its ammonia but the minimum speed is 20% and the slide valve is permenantly at 100%. Yes its a mono screw.
