Hi, just looking for some info as to why we have Centrif Chillers on high voltages like 3300 and 6600 volts ?

Centrifugal chillers are not my thing, but I would assume it is because of the Horsepower. Lighter wiring and smaller contacters as compared to lower voltages.

Hi Goshen I used to look after 25 carrier 17/19FA centrifugal chillers 600TR if I recollect the full load amps were 198, in Saudi Arabia for ARAMCO they were used as district for the Company town.

This comes to mind first. Motors with high output powers are fed by high voltages - less currents, as said above - less power losses; they are smaller - less material (iron and copper) used for their construction.
