I was wondering if there was anyone out there that has converted and old R-12 Coca-Cola cooler from the early fifties with a modern comp./condensing unit.
It is a water-bath, reach-in chest style cooler. The comp. is a belt driven and is siezed. The system is flat, and when I pressure tested the evap, it held.
So I'd like to know what other guys have done, I'm not interested in "preserving" this antique, I only care about functionality, and don't want to over/under size the condensing unit.
Also, if anyone knows of where I could find reference material on these type of units that would be greatly appreciated.
