Is it ok to put refrigerators in a room without air conditioning in a hot climate with only exhaust fans provided? What would be the temperature required for good operation?

All long as there is good airflow and the fridges are for the specified region then it should be OK.

Thanks for the reply, but is there a general operating temperature range for normal restaurant freezers? Oh, and does it make a difference if they are refrigerators or freezers?

Any idea what could happen if the temperature increases above the limit?

Thx again.:)

Foster's used to rate some of their cabinets as "43C" meaing they would run OK at ambients up to 43 deg C.

But as Brian says, if you get a cabinet that is designed for your region, it should work fine as long as your extract fans are "pulling away" all that heat being generated, and there is a good supply of "fresh" ambiant air.

To summarise- no "short cylcing" of condenser air.
