Cleaned Up Acid from the system

Hello Members, I have a problem with a 200 TON, screw chiller water from Trane, model RTAC 2004. the POE oil seems to be very higroscopic. How do I do to remove the acid from the system?. Is there any system or product I can use to do that.

Have somebody use the fri3oil system?

hey frigor, i would change the oil, replace drier with a burnout drier. has the compressor burnt out? also i would use the recomended trane oil specified on the chiller. i would also change the refrigerant.

hi frigor, i would then check the oil and if it is acitic change both oil and driers again good luck mate.

oops, I found this thread today...

This operation was carried out in August last year, so, more than one year after the first post. Would have been nice the get also an explanation from the OP of what happened there.

I would be banned for advertising if I would do it... and many of you wouldn't believe me :D
