Hi I'm new to this forum and i would like to seek an advice since i was given a task to review the condition of an existing cold store which is using R12 screw type compressor. the current situation of the cold store is in good condition and it's been working for 20 years already but since R12 is in phaseout stage i'm in the process to recommend to replace the complete refrigeration system but I read a reference guide for refrigerant that R12 can be retrofit with R134a but have to Change the lubricant in the compressor to polyol ester (POE).
My questions are
- is it possible to perform retroffiting for the cold store i mentioned
- Does anybody already performed retrofitting of coldstore from R12 to R134a
- If retrofitting is not possible should i release my proposal to replace the entire refrigeration system including controls.
- Is there anybody you can refer who specialized in retrofitting works my location is in QATAR this is a huge cold store building.
Any advice are welcome.
Thanks in advance
