Hi Guys, I'm a newly qualified engineer and I am having difficulty charging a monoblock coldroom unit, as I can only find 1 service valve, which is connected to a pipe which comes out only 8-10cm from the compressor.
Do I still charge through this valve as liquid as per normal?
Thanks

Use gauge manifold valves to meter liquid from refrigerant bottle and it should be OK. Charge in 5% of total weight steps and allow some time in between steps that liquid evaporate. Don't rush!

I've heard of using a length of copper tubing 1/4" about 3 or 4 meters long, coiled in a bucket of hot water, charge slowly via this tube and avoid the dangers of charging with liquid.
