just been reading some scary stuff at Rense.com.

Saw some headlines like "3 day week in UK".

Have been watching the news and seeing thousands of jobs going in UK.

Is it as bad as they're painting it or is there still plenty of work for reefer guys?

Hi,

I think that we will feel it later this year or maybe 2010, I have been really busy and there are still lots of jobs in our industry, I am self employed and it will probably be a bit harder to get money out from some clients but the demand is still high. We keep hearing the same thing about the states!

Cheers

It'll be just like the good old days.

3-1/2 million on the dole, power cuts and a bit of petrol rationing.

I've still got my petrol ration book from 1973, I knew it would come in handy one day.

;) ;)

Most people in the UK work force are too young to remember the 3 day week from the early 1970's.
However
That crisis was caused by a different problem
Not enough electrical power due to miners strike's
No one alive today has seen a global depression.
Mr Brown thinks that spitting in the wind will make a difference.
But he forgot that in this world you reep what you ?

The last time we had a 3 day week we shipped out to Rhodesia. From what i remember we lived like kings with servants and a large piece of land and the obligatory house with pool.

That life came crashing down, not sure which country would suit anybody in this day and age?
