Hi All, I would appreciate any information on locating an outside Temperature Sensor for a Trane System computer controlled by Staefa controls; I have searched outside the entire Trane system(from the basement to the roof and all around the building with no success; I am trying to locate it as i have false Temp. data showing on my monitor screen;

Outside sensors are normally placed on a North facing wall.

If all else fails try disconnecting the sensor wires from the controller and injecting a signal into them; then check all the cables that you can find. It's a long job...

If all else fails, fit a new sensor.

Is the sensor a staefa or trane one do u know?Is the staefa handheld an NBRN or the new siemens ones?

He doesn't know what the sensor is yet because he can't find it.
