Samsung SH24TA8D Service Manual Pls

G'day all,
Have a Samsung SH24TA8D split system with all indoor lights flashing, not operating, responds to remote with single beep, and all lights continue to flash. Service manual would be a help. Thanks

sounds like the option code needs inputing,have you had the mains power of to the system? this is the usually cause,unfortunately i dont have the manual for this as in the UK we dont see 70% of the systems in the range,i recommend speaking to the distributor/fitter or email samsung Au at:

Needs the option codes reprogrammed.

I don't have so much as a single manual, but a whole folder or stuff, ie 1 .pdf for trouble shooting, one for diagram, one for upgrades, one for PCB diagram, one .pdf for schematic etc etc. And after all that, the option codes aren't in any service manual anyway.

There's info on here how to reprogram samsungs, but essentially you remove one battery, hold down temp up and down buttons then refit battery, then you'll have a screen of:

00
and you need to use the temp, fan, louvre buttons on each line to change those numbers on those lines to:

17
then the edit: mode button /edit, to reset the screen where you'll get

00
which you enter the second sequence of numbers:
1A
02
3F
I'll dig round for the exact images to explain it better, but I'm pretty sure the proceedure is well documented on this site by superswill.

On page 31 of that pdf you linked is the controller that needs resetting, the older smaller type with the LCD on the left and the buttons down the right. Anyone have a proceedure for that controller programming in english?

Paul, upload any PDF file to http://viewer.zoho.com then go to Google translate (http://translate.google.com) choose language pair and copy/ paste link ( this is for these two pages I extracted: http://viewer.zoho.com/docs/j1XaQ) for that PDF in address window and that should translate it.

Thanks, I think I worked it out.
My only problem is after setting the first 6 codes, I forget which button to press to get to the next screen.
I haven't got any written or saved instructions on how to do the actual reprogamming. Besides the actual codes, the procedure for all the different remotes exists only in my memory.
I can't rely on my memory these days! :D

press the mode botton again the input the 2nd set of six numbers these always start with a one
