Dear All,

Doesn't it worry any of you having the inverter control board and inverter module in the oustside unit exposed to winds, rain and condensation ? The metal parts would condensate in high humidity conditions. Wouldnt this cause water droplets very close by to the sensitive PCB's?

Does anyone suggest some protective measure to this?

Regards

Andrew

Get a can of laquer spray paint from an electronics store and give it 5 or so good thick coats.
Prevents corrosion, shorting out by lizards, mice and other fauna.
Besides corrsosion near sea air and critters shorting them out, they seem to last 5+ years OK with the moisture and humidity levels though. I've never had to replace any PCBs without an obvious external fault, like component fault (fan, compressor), corrosion (if near the sea), fauna shorting it out etc

Thanks for the post!

So you would suggest laquering both sides of the PCB's ?

Ille give that a shot then!

Thanks

Yeah do both sides, don't forget to use special laquer from an electronics store though, regular laquer may harm the components.

and dont forget to put the plugs on the board BEFORE spraying it with laquer;)
