Superheat & Sub-cooling

Evening all,

I am after an explanation as to how I get my superheat and sub-cooling readings from a airconditioning split system like a wall mount, can anyone explain how i get these readings?

Superheat - I know that i have to take the Suction preasure and convert it using a comparator but how do i get my superheat reading?

Can anyone help me please??
