Hi everyone,

I have a brand new LG compressor NSA24. I want to know how to do the initial oil charge to it and what type oil should I use?

Thanks.

Thanks. But just for me to know, what type oil is it? Is it mineral oil or PAG oil that I can buy from auto store? On the specs sheet, it only stated that Viscocity 22 oil, but I don't know what oil is viscocity 22 oil. Thanks.

That depend on compressor model no#. If compressor is for R22 than it is charged with mineral oil. If not, than it is probably charged with POE oil!

Depends on which refrigerant you want to use.

The unit appears to be able to run R12 or R134a according to the LG catalogue....

To change it probably means drilling a hole in the can to drain it out.
