Hi guys
LC . . .
Here is an overvue of how a large aeroplane airconditioner works.
Parts:
Heat exchanger
Compressor
Turbine
water seperator
Refrigerant: Air
ram air enters the heat exchangers then goes to the compressors where it's compressed than expanded in the turbine, this expansion drives the turbine (coupled to the compressor) which gives rotation movement to the compressor , the air at the outlet of the turbine enters the condensate water seperator than is injectet to the passenger cabin.
the air leaves the airplane by a pressure releif valve which maintains the pressure on the airplane.
Different configuration exists but this is the basic cycle.
If you need more detailed information please let me know.
Best respects and regards
