There are 2 different options, depending on the model you are working on (Yes sometimes it feels like all you do is asking newcomers for more info, model no's are essential!)

First of all, what you describes is a classic symptom of failure to RTFM.
If you read the leaflet that came with the new board, you would have known the answer.

You should either: have moved a plug with a resistor in it from the old PCB to the new PCB
OR: set some dip-switches on the new PCB.
As I said earlier, it will depend on which model you are looking at.
