Hi all i have 2 WALL SPLITS LG & DAIKIN in a comms room and sometimes they turn themselves off. They are set to 20-22degC first of all i thought maybe low ambient temp (winter here) but i set the dip switches in the condenser to low ambient setting but still they shut down its just like they have been turned off. I was wondering if it could be a power issue or infared interferance from some wifi or something. Hope you guys have some idea.
(AND BEFORE ANY SMART ARSE SAYS ARE THEY REACHING TEMP NO THEY ARE NOT INDOOR UNIT COMPLETELY STOPS LOUVRES CLOSE)

Hi Dave, I've had this problem with 2x Fujitsu units in a comms room. It was infared interferance, as Fujitsu did not have the facility to fit a hard wired remote we simply fitted a cover over the infared reciever after we had set the temp, fan speed etc. The cover was simply a magnetic strip that we could easily remove. Never had a problem since.

Cheers
Maff

did you also find where the infra red interference came from ??:o

from wireless internet, or other remote controllers?
