Carrier uses (engines) Kubota and (compressor) Carillial.
TK uses (engine) Yanmar (Old ones are Izzuzu) and they have thier own compressors.

Hi guys. there's a lot of phased-out Japanese reefer trucks here, and we get to see Mitsubishi truck refrigeration systems often enough. Mitsubishi has systems driven by diesel sub-engines but it appears that the majority is sold in their doemstic market. Chassis-mounted condensing units seem to be very popular, perhaps because the bodies do not need to be reinforced to carry heavy condensing units.

Mitsubishi uses their own diesel engines; typically, these are L2E (2cyl, 635cc), K3E (3cyl, 1061cc), L3E (3cyl 952cc), and 4DQ50P (4cyl 2084cc). They also have their own compressors: 3M501 (3cyl 182cc), 3M401 (3cyl 235cc), 4M305 (4cyl 342cc) and 6F309 (6cyl 512cc).

Please note though that most of the trucks we see date back to the mid-90s so a lot may have changed since then to conform to new emission and fuel efficiency standards.
