I have a client who has just bought a bottle cooler. He knew it wasnīt working whe he bought it and asked me to have a look. I think someones not paid a bill or something because every parameter in the controller has been set to maximum value (including set point). So now im trying to work out what all the parameters do. The model of the controller is XR20C. I had a look on The Dixell site but couldnīt find that particular model, but I did find a similar one, which had some of the same parameters, so now I know what 25 out of the 41 parameters,

Can anybody help me with the remaining ones, please?

Hereīs what I dont Know,
LOD
AGC
tiC
iAG
AGt
APO
ALP

Thanks,
paul

I've already done that before posting, But I can't find the info for this particular model. I found a similar model, which has some of the same parameters.

I just looked again, just to be sure, and managed to find a list of all the parameters, but It's in Italian and doesn't give a detailed description of what each one does. For example, most of the parameters are just numbers but some are letters or codes, so I can't work it out without knowing exactly what they mean.

Did a quick check on Dixell site and yes the first download of the XR20C parameter list was in Italian. So I clicked the 'English' flag and got the English version.

It didn't have example settings though, just the descriptions of the parameters.

Following on from everyone else's help and advise.
I have posted these pages.
Hopefully they are of use.
As they are slightly different from chemi-cool's

Thanks for the info, that is exactly what I needed.

If I click on that English flag, then the page goes back to the start. Anyway, doesnīt matter now, because the one Grizzy posted will suffice. The one Chemi posted, I donīt think thereīs enough parameters on that, but ill take to site anyway, just in case.

Thanks Again

The saga continues,

Went back to site on Friday with the codes that were posted. Apologies to Chemi, because the list you gave was actually very usefull. I went through the codes and there are still 17 codes that are not in either of the 2 manuals posted. All the other codes are now set to factory defaults, while I try and get the thing to work. At the minute it just flashes the compressor light.

I was thinking that maybe there is some kind of hidden menu or something that gives you access to some new codes? Would anybody know anything about this.

Another thing is that the rEL value is 3. This i assume is the software version, which I believe should be 4. Does this make a difference?

Iīve updated the first post with the codes that are on the controller but not on either of the 2 lists I now have. If anyone could share some light on these, I would be very grateful, as I donīt really want to replace a controller just for a couple of codes been set wrong.

In any of the manuals does it tell you how to reset to factory settings?

I wouldnt have thought a bottle cooler needed any special setup.Just set the setpoint and away you go.

Funny\strange how all the parameters aren't the same yet they are for the same controller.....

Cheers, Iīm sure iīll be able to get all the codes now with all the info posted.

iīve only had a quick look through the manual Nike123 posted (Thanks BTW) but the 40C and 60C look like what I have, so Iīm thinking maybe someone has updated the controller with the wrong software.

anyway, cheers again

Even if someone should have updated with new software - I don't see how this can be done by a 'normal' user - the parameters stays the same, only some are added.

I've looked at the manual properly now and gone through every model to find this missing codes. I am only short of 7 codes, but there is a code that gives you factory defaults of all the parameters, so i'm going to try this. Hopefully that will do the trick and I can just leave the ones I don't know at the factory default value.

I've changed my mind now on someone changing the software, because there doesn't seem to be model with the exact same parameters.

I know this is a little and a little too late but, I am the distributor for Dixell in North and South America. Any time the list of parameters has added options, i.e.; parameters that cannot be found on any parameter sheet the control has become inoperable. One of the indications as to a short caused by water is if the control shows 31 degrees F or C constantly... Also if you request to be contacted Dixell will proptly have some contact you generaly in less that 24 hours...
