Its a dvd rewinder,it shows up when i look at it and i cant fathom why no-one else can see it.

Tell me though what exactly is a DVD Rewinder ? Isn't that what they used to call the replay/rewind button or am I thinking Video only?

It is for rewinding DVD after you looked the movie. You know that you cant return to local VHS/DVD video-theque your rented un-rewinded videos. ;)

Nope, If you rewind CD on the DVD rewinder, you could end-up with centripetal force problems (and sticking bits) because of 5-9 time more capacity in DVD then in CD media.:rolleyes:

It plays at different revolutions per minute as rewinding head goes from end toward beginning of DVD, and it goes from outside circumference to inner circumference . It must have linear velocity thru pitches in order to correctly rewind DVD movie. In fact, it must work totally opposite of reading DVD. Ask for details in your local DVD rent-shop!:cool:

You could also install in your computer this, purpose made software, to avoid buying such device.

I basically was searching the net,looking for a cd/dvd cleaner and stumbled across it.

It is a disc cleaner but has a button on it that when pressed it makes a sound like it is rewinding.

I thought it was a funny little gizmo,so i bought one and posted the pic.

I probably paid more for this novelty than it costs for a normal one though.:D
