Hi,

I would like to know what would be the effect of LOWER pressure drop in the evaporator coil for low temp. application.

I have a scenario, where coil output should be quite low as compare to comp. output but still the suction pressure is not dropping.

I was wondering, if more feeds in the coil is the cause.

jwasir,

We need more information. Model numbers of the equipment and any other control numbers, TXV etc.

The application is reduce the ambient air temp. from 90F to -30F.

The air volume is 500 CFM.

There are 2 stages, first is supposed to bring the temp to 30F and second is supposed to bring it to -40F.

Now first stage is doing the job.

In second stage I have 1/2" coil 2 FPI with 5 feeds.

Electronic expansion valve -- 5.5 SH.

Presently, all I can get is 5F air temp and SST is -19F (R-404a)

I was wondering if I have more feeds in the coil.

I would like to know what would be the effect of LOWER pressure drop in the evaporator coil for low temp. application.

The coil output, as per software is 30,000 BTU.

The comp. output is 102,000 BTU but still the suction pressure is not dropping.

I'll really appreciate by getting your feed back to the problem.
