Had a few problems with these lately one being on my own fridge/ freezer at home. Discovered fridge freezer not working after spending £180 at tescos  . Got me tools out and found fuse blown , traced fault to lost neutral in the safety plug. Cut off plug and fitted new plug now all working :) . Just aswell as im a :cool:fridge engineer  any mere mortal would have been buggered and probably scrapped it. Anyone else had much bother with these moulded plugs.

No never.
I supose that like all mass produced products there is a small % of failures.

I too have had a few moulded plugs die, maybe one or two a year. I'm finding it's not new plugs that die but plugs that have been in use for a few years. The last one I came across was on a domestic fridge/freezer, the moulded plug produced some amazing firework displays.

Never come across faulty premoulded plug in equipment except for heavily abused extension cords. If they are not abused or moved a lot, I've never seen them fail.
