Good Evening to all.
Would welcome any input on the following question.

I am in the UK and whilst in a branch of a large chain store today, I looked at a fridge and a freezer, produced by the same manufacturer, standing side by side on the display.

Externally, size and appearance, the two units were identical, though one was a fridge with a small ice box in the top R/H corner, the other a three and a half draw freezer.

Would it be reasonable to assume that the cooling systems in both would be near identical or are there radical differences between the systems of a fridge and a freezer?

As stated, would welcome any input on the question.
Thank you.

Yes, the refrigeration plant would be completely different.

As the Viking said but also the important difference is about 25°C between the two.
