Hi All

Past couple of days I have attended 2 separate calls to Brema ice machines.

VM500 AQ c/w ice bin
MC300 c/w ice bin

Each of the calls was the same fault, heavy icing up on the evaporator.
I defrosted each machine fully and run tested the timer and evap stat.

Each of the machines were tested for about 5 cycles both all okay.

Now I just know this is going to happen again

Please Help

:confused::confused:What do you want help with?
Were the backs of the coils iced up, or do you mean the slab got thick and didn't defrost of the coil? Were the bins emptry or full?
Last time I got stuck with a brema it turned out that the coil had broken away from the ice plate.
The plate had bent and the welds had broken so the coil behind the plate iced up excessively and didn't defrost the slab in time, meaning no harvest and the ice between the plates kept growing and growing to meet eachother.

Hi Paul

On each machine the evap coils were iced up by about 100mm thick.

The ice bins were empty.
The pipe work seems fine on each evaporator.
Each evap is clear of lime scale deposits etc.

hi cool kids
1-i agree with paul about broken welds
2-you said 100mm thats mean you tookthe upper pannel so you have to check evaporator pipes away from the ice plate
3-check if water still run faulty water valve
