spiral co-axial heat exchanger

Anybody here have used co-axial spiral heat exchanger? How about its advantage to plate heat exchanger? pls input.

They're just cheaper thats about all that I can think of.

I don't see any advantage in these coaxial HE's.
A plate HE is - at least in our country - cheaper.
It takes less place for the same capacity and there's less refrigerant in it.
But it's more prone to freezing up.

Agree but it's not so sensitive to water quality and more robust to freezing up.
