| Description |
| Our client is a global manufacturer and is looking to recruit a Customer Services Engineer. You will support, by mechanical, electrical and non-cryogenic maintenance services, the continuous and safe operation of all present and future equipment installed on customer premises, managed by the service department.
You will be competent in advising customers on the companies equipment and also ensure that both the company and customers equipment are maintained in accordance with legislative requirements.
Your duties will include:
Installation of companies equipment in accordance with predetermined quality and safety standards and a work plan.
Liaison with customers in completing minor surveys, estimates of labour and material, preparation of proposals for new and existing installations.
Supervise sub-contractors (installation and cranage) or personally carry out work ensuring that the installation meets the correct technical, quality and safety standards.
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance.
To be responsible for executing and co-ordinating contracts with Customers from order through to job completion ensuring that the Customer is aware of the companies technical back up and expertise.
Experience required:
Display of basic engineering skills, i.e brazing/welding, mechanical, electrical/electronic and instrumentation as related to their requirement on industrial and medical installations.
The ability to liaise/communicate with Customers.
Knowledge of planning and estimating principles and techniques applicable to the company.
Knowledge and experience in fault diagnosis, with the ability to assess with minimum assistance the best course of action in response to a breakdown.
A level of literacy compatible with the production of concise reports.
Qualifications:
Timed serviced Craftsman appropriate City and Guilds / Part 2 Mechanical Engineering Technician Qualifications, plus good practical experience within contracting / maintenance environment.
Location: Bristol/South West England.
Salary range: £28-35k depending on experience plus benefits package. |
