Chiller expansion tank.

Hello,
I am looking for help sizing an expansion tank for a chilled water system. It is an exsisting system and I don't know exact fluid content. Do I need to do a dilution test to get a accurate messurement. Can I just overestimate?

Re: Chiller expansion tank.

Expansion tank shall be kept at topmost level of the chilled water circuit.ideally it is better to calculate the total holding capacity of circuit .As a rule of thumb around 3% of the flow rate is adequate for expansion tank if it is chilled water system
