    "Nuts"

    .

    Yes nuts................................

    I'm after stainless steel fittings?

I need 1/2" to 1/4" male to male reducers and
    I need 1/2" male plugs..

Are they made in Stainless? and if so does anybody know where
I can get some? I only need about 20 each and they are for testing.

Continuous connecting, releasing and pressure testing soon wears the
brass ones so I'm after something more beefy.

    Regards

    Rob

    Try www.customfittings.com

Used them a couple of times in the past and they usually got what's needed in stock.

    Hi Rob.
Someone somewhere makes Steel fridge fittings.
But the nearest I have got in the past for use on ammonia plant.
Is to go to your nearest trusted Hydraulic Suppliers.
Armed with a pair of 1/2 " and 1/4" fittings to be used as templates.

Because they sell JIC fittings which work fine as male to Fridge female.
The flare angle is slightly sharper and the thread turns are less.
    I know that a 1/4" flare is called a 3/16" JIC.
so 1/2 " would be known as a slightly bigger imperial size.

Check it out I have been using the for 25 - 30yrs.

    With no Issues.

J&E Hall used to have some Flare fittings but most were Wade fittings.
If you do find where to get actual flare fittings please share as they would be a bonus to anyone's tool kit.

Cheers Griz, I forgot about hydraulic fittings, I have
even used them in the past. Stainless would be fantastic
    but steel would be aceptable.

    Hi Chemi.
    An interesting website posted.
The Tee's shown are the JIC ones that I mention in my post.
You can see the flare is a sharper angle and there are less turns to the thread.
But they work fine all the same.

    .

Cheers guys. I'll do some looking around.

Griz, I have been told that the newer concentric 410 flare block
has a slightly different angle than the older traditional flare block.
The new flares do adapt to the older shape so i'd imagine the steel
ones with a slightly different angle would be very similar.

We use their parts for CO2, Oxygen and Nitrogen connections and control instruments up to 300bar.
