    difference capacity unit



    hi
    i received a window type ac
    i red the name plate
    and i surprised that the cooling capacity measured in BTU
    and heating capacity is in kw instead of btu

    why ???????????
    the ac is not heat-pump
    its heated by electric heater

    That's why it is in kW then isn't it, rather obvious.

    Electric heater input/output is measured in Watts.

    If you bought an electric light bulb would you ask for a 100 watt bulb or a 341 btu/h bulb?

    i get my bulbs from the garden ctr- and they stopped making 100watt bulbs its all low energy lamps!
