Re: Failed Compressor
Hi,
We need a bit more information regarding the circumstances. Where was the leak you fixed, was it a brazed repair, how did you deal with the system after fixing the leak (evacuate and re-charge)? Was the compressor already overheated when you got to the site - perhaps due to running low on gas ... That kind of thing.
Regards,
Trevor

Re: Failed Compressor
Hi
When you say the compressor would not start was it because it was tripping the power supply, have you checked there is a power supply to the compressor, has it tripped a safety circuit, did you leave a valve shut??

Re: Failed Compressor
Hi
Are all the windings present & correct, the first thing maneuropes do when low on gas is overheat and go out on internal protection.
Let the comp cool completely then carry out the proper checks etc.
I've been to lots of sites where engineers have diagnosed maneuoropes gone, switched on comp & hey presto it runs but short of gas.
Hope this helps
