Replace R22 with Isceon 29
Hi folks,
This is my first post. Have 3-off Dunham-Bush Big 4 chillers running on R22.
Has anyone out there used this new "drop-in" replacement gas yet ???
It seems it will be ok with existing mineral oil in compressors....is this true ?
Incidentally, some of the compressors are 25 years old.Last edited by birdseed; 28-10-2007 at 03:07 PM. Reason: additional info

Re: Replace R22 with Isceon 29
Hello birdseed,
I am also looking into converting recip chillers from 22 to ISCEON 29. The mineral oil is a big ?, DuPont in their marketing info implies "in most cases, no change of lubricant". What qualifies as "most cases"? I am waiting further information from Carlyle, the compressor manufacturer of our chillers, I'll pass on any new info.
