Montair closing down
It is now official that Montair in Italy is closing the production facility and will go out of business in a couple of months time.
I resigned few weeks ago and will leave the HVAC sector for few years.
22 workers have been dismissed and the building sold.
The union signed the agreement for partial compensations yesterday.

Hi NoNickName,
I have been wondering where you have been for some time. Sorry to hear about the unfortunate circumstances you have found yourself in.
You should certainly not have any problem finding a position with an HVAC firm with your qualifications.
Best of luck to you and I hope everything works out.If all else fails, ask for help.

Re: Montair closing down
NoNickName, sorry to hear this.
Why you want to leave the HVAC sector with all the knowledge you gained over the years?
What are your future plans?
Was the reason the hard competition these days? It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

I can't release details at this stage. For the time being, I'm taking a rest on holiday. We'll see.
Anyone interested in district heating (teleheating)?

Re: Montair closing down
District heating, in what way?
This is something not used in Belgium, everyone has his own heating system. It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Re: Montair closing down
In The Netherlands, they have area's with 30 to 50 houses, all centrally heated by 1 or 2 GSHP's.
I thought you were refering to this kind of heating seen you history. It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Re: Montair closing down
Italy seemed to be one of the last parts of Europe (except for the new comers from the East block) where industry survived producing imaginative, technologically complicated goods at reasonable prices. (Denmark being a world of its own) - I refere to lorries, disco lighting and TV /radio electronics...
I was always curious about certain towns that specialized in producing a specific range of products in Italy ...
Did the same happen with refrigeration?
Good luck and thanks for help...
