Re: R22 storage
Jaison, are you wanting to store the R22 in plastic containers or do you mean that the R22 cylinders will be in the airtight container?

Re: R22 storage
most airlines won't let you "ship" gasses! Some freighters by water will if they are effectively secured inside a seacontainer!
And surely you mean putting the gas cilinders in the container!?

Re: R22 storage
It is simply not recommended to store refrigerants in plastic containers.
A rise in temperature will cause the expected rise in pressure and the container will rupture.
I don't think that any shipping agent will accept your goods in this fashion. I am surprised that you are even thinking about it.Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

Re: R22 storage
I never figured out what the PSI drop was with elevation. Need to do that one of these days.
Many years ago I was at 10,000 feet plus in a C-119 Airplane with a overfilled Propane bottle. The relief valve opened for a bit then closed. I blamed this in the change of elevation.
It also became a Nonsmoking flight in very short order.
R-22 in plastic? Do not think that is a wise idea at all.

Re: R22 storage
Best people to ask would be your refrigerant supplier and cylinder manufacturer.

Re: R22 storage
You might also check with freight forwarders and shipping companies. You cannot ship this by air freight.
If all else fails, ask for help.
