overload relay trips due to eccessive load than the rated load i.e motor consuming current(over load relay which converts heat energy into mechanical force)

are you ensure your setting is correct? if it is ok ,
pls check your voltage in the range. or your have a high ambient temperature .

i find the usual causes of overload tripping are,compressor burnt/siezed, system blocked.

Some causes of overload trips of compressors are:
1. Refrigerant floodback;
2. Flooded starts;
3. Slugging;
4. Overheating; and
5. Loss of oil.
