Measuring refrigerant flow with a Coriolis flowmeter
Hello everyone, Always taking on something I know little about.
We are purchasing a Coriolis flowmeter to more accurately determine the btuh requirement of our supermarket cases. My question is do any of you have experience with doing this?
Thanks , Kengineering

Re: Measuring refrigerant flow with a Coriolis flowmeter
Hello,
we currently use Hendress Hauser Coriolis mass flow meters.
Our typical application is mass flow between MP and LP vessels on industrial ammonia systems.

flowmeter must stay below the level in the MP vessel to avoid gas in the pipe.
it must be supported to avoid vibrations and movements.
the difficult is that with a non subcooled liquid you get bubbles and can loose the signal as well as with an ultrasonic flow meter.
some off our systems are fitted with ultrasonic flow meters F721 and it works as well.
