Integral fridges high head
Had a Williams 2 door prep fridge struggling to Maintain setpoint today, condenser coil is clean, fans all ok, charge seems good but we have high ambient temps in the kitchen often exceeding 35°c and more when the ovens are opened.
Any ideas to improve the head pressures in these environments?
What ambients can these fridges comfortably work in?
Any input would be appreciated.

Re: Integral fridges high head
They leaving the doors open or overstocking with high heat load produce?
Other than that try and improve the efficiency of the condenser.....clear paths for airflow, fridge in best location for ventilation etc..... perhaps Williams do an upgraded fan to increase the condenser efficiency?
I believe the industrial standard for max ambient is 40C but only Williams can tell you what it's really capable ofLast edited by TrevH; 13-06-2023 at 08:33 PM.

Re: Integral fridges high head
It’s located directly opposite the ovens and they’re in and out the fridge like a yo-yo!
I have considered the upgraded fan to improve Efficiency, TBH it’s just too warm in there and there in and out far to frequently to maintain 4°c but trying to tell them that is like talking to a brick wall.

I feel that pain,
Tell them that if they don't address it then catastrophic failure is the most likely outcome for the fridge and it's contents. Tell them to up the air change rate for the kitchen with some DX LOL

Re: Integral fridges high head
cool air supply for the condenser. It has nowhere to reject heat to.
Or cool water...

Re: Integral fridges high head
The cheap option not just to move the fridges or the ovens elsewhere?

Re: Integral fridges high head
I hope you're charging for each call out? If customer won't listen, i'd suggest dropping them, this problem is unfixable, max ambient used to be 32c for these and that was with the condenser at low level, all very well them laughing at your suggestions, what happens when health inspector calls and measures temps far above that allowed, issues a warning and then customer is on blaming you for not fixing it?
