If the lines were contaminated then the whole system was
so vaccing out the whole lot would be the correct choice.

Not too sure the glue on the flare is the option though,
you would have been far better to either reflare or cut
out the last bit of the pipe and braze a new flared section.

Thanks for your reply. I had no other choice to apply the nylog sealant on the flare because if I cut the flare off it would of been too short. The nylog sealant works very well, never had any leaks.
